Bad scene, my friend! "Never dip your pen in the company ink well", as they say.

First, your company may have specific rules against it -- it could be a firing offense.

Second, your work life could turn as ugly as your private life if the relationship turns sour.

Third, if one of you is in a superior position to the other, there could be accusations of favoritism, sexual harassment, and all sorts of other not-fun things.

That other person isn't the only fish in the sea....find someone else, or find a new job first.

Bad . Bad idea. Never ever get involved with someone you work with. Things might go well for a while but when it turns sour you still have to see the persons face day - in and day- out. Nahhhhh dont do it. As a matter of fact their are some very spiteful people around, the minute they have had their way with you or otherwise and interest have waned they might just get hold of your partner and tell them about it. What then, you have lost your wife, kids etc. Well if you were my husband that would definitely happen. I dont take kindly to two-timers.

Its a tough situation, and it really depends on the relationship factor with this person, and if your company/job looks down upon inner-office personal relationships. If you work closely with this person, and you are planning to stay at your job long-term, you have to (unfortunately) look at the consequences that may come about if something does go wrong in the relationship. You also have to think of the office gossip. Every office has it, no matter what profession you are in. If there isnt a real relationship involved and its just for "messing around", i wouldnt even go there. That would most likely in the end turn very very bad. Good luck!

It's probably not a good idea. I know 3 people that did with co workers and it strained their both their personal life and work relationship. They hated coming into work to sit in the same office. Don't mix business with pleasure. Its ok to get involved in a relationship at work, people do it all the time, however there is a difference with being in an actual relationship and having a one night stand or a friends with benefits type of deal. Don't do it if its just for sex, it'll be a weird environment for you both afterwards

A friend of mine slept with this guy at work (well, obviously they weren't at work when they slept together). My friend didn't know (and nobody knew) that this guy was very influential as he was the favourite of the clients' and the bosses. Because he had a very high and good position that he feared he may lose if this whole s.e.x thing came out he made sure that he got 'rid of her' in time. He managed to persuade the bosses that the project didn't need her as they were trying to make cuts. The hard truth was, that the project did need her, it was him who didn't need the agro, in case she said anything. She ended up losing her job, which she really liked all because of a stupid shag. So, I just say, be careful, the best is if you just leave it, I'm sure you can find eligible partners (even if it's just for s.e.x) elsewhere.

Depends upon the risks & your attitude to risk. Does your employer have a policy about this? If not then the coast is clear. Except for a a few risks. It is down to your common sense & mature judgement that no doubt are thrown into confusion by the feelings coursing through your lower regions. Worst case - jealous partners - laughing stock amongst your colleagues who will be jealous & who will use it to damage your chaces of progression. Good luck. Perhaps we will get a supplementary question in about a month's time!

In a nice fluffy ideal world everyone would be able to sleep with whoever they like and it wouldn't matter a bean coz there's enough love to go around.
In real life, yes if you're in a committed relationship.
No if the circumstances are anything other than the above.
If you just want to sleep with someone there's plenty of people who will do that who don't work with you!!!

Depends on the people involved. If you both have an adult outlook on life and accept that you can be friends even if it doesn't work out , then yes.
I slept with my boss.
We ended up getting married and are very happy.
I have slept with other people from other work places and all has been fine when it didn't work out because I respect other peoples freedom to choose.
