Firstly who would want to invade Scotland?
Anyone who was invading would presumably know that Scotland is part of the British Isles and that England would therefore jump in without needing to be asked.
If they needed to ask, then I am sure that Ireland would help, but their army is rubbish.

Firstly we don't want to be part of Britain and certainly not England. We've succeeded for the most part in that we have our own Scottish Parliament and the UK government is dominated by Scotsmen.
The only people that might want to invade us are English students because we have free university education (no fees),
and English pensioners who have to pay to travel through their country whereas Scottish pensioners have had free bus travel nationwide for several years.
I wouldn't worry too much about your problem, limited intelligence doesn't have the same stigma as it used to.

NATO.

There are some Army and RAF bases in Scotland so they would react right away. Major elements of the British Army are based in England so they would be the first externally-based forces to reach Scotland.

It's one thing to talk tongue in cheek about England getting beat at football but I think that you will find that most Scots are happy to be British and many Scottish regiments have fought bravely in any war that Britain has been involved in.

They wouldn't have to ask we would be there man to man to defend them after the years they have done the same for us.
Anyway we are all British in spite of politicians trying to make it otherwise.

I would like to tell Misty to get some in.
The British army have been more than well served by the Irish.
Stop talking rubbish.

Ask yourself where England would be without Scotland, and Scottish armies. Medicine, Oil, and hundreds of other things, which suddenly become 'British'.
