Yes it was a hit of theirs.. they also had other hits..

I remember seeing them years ago.. earl 80's Wolverhampton Civic Hall. I'm sure they made my ears bleed!

Yes, Wheels of Steel was one of Saxons songs and a bloddy good album to boot.

Their biggest hit was probably "And the Bands Played On" from the Denim and Leather Album.

also the eagle has landed1983 cristopher cross cover ride like the wind 88 midas touch 83 denim and leather 81 747 (strangers in the night) 1982 and the band played on 81 never surrender 81
albums are denim and leather ,the eagle has landed (live) ,crusader ,innocence is no excuse, rock the nations ,destiny ,rock and roll gypsies ,solid ball of rock
