If you're late for your period she can tell. She can also check your cervix, order a scan, or draw blood.
You should tell her when you get there that you've been trying and believe you might be pregnant. There are some aspects of an internal exam they dont want to do if you're pregnant, and some they do.

I am really not sure what you are asking in this question. You need to let your gynecologist know that you may be pregnant before any type of exam is done. Pap smears, and other routine procedures could cause you to miscarry if you truly are pregnant (this is not to be confused with late-pregnancy internal exams). You need to take a pregnancy test before going. There is nothing that a gynec. can do to tell that you are pregnant besides a home pregnancy test or a blood test (and a blood test most likely wouldn't show up positive THIS early on - it takes longer for HcG to show up in the bloodstream than in the urine).

Tell your doctor that you are trying. Vaginal exams (even Pap smears and such) are safe during pregnancy....someone said they are not. Your uterus begins to harden immediately so maybe the doctor can feel that this early. I had to have an u/s at 4 weeks with my third pregnancy because of complications with my second pregnancy, there was no doubt that I was pregnant. Good luck!!!

Yes, they will check the hcg level in your urine and blood and they can tell automatically with that.
Good luck I hope that all goes well this time.
I have had many miscarriages and 2 live births. With every one they do a vaginal exam it does not cause miscarriages.
