I was once given this piece of advice: no one clots for one reason. Make sure your doctor looks for TWO reasons. My two reasons were vascular surgery and bed rest. In your daughter's case, can you find even one cause? I knew someone who developed a clot when she gave blood, then carried a heavy purse on the same arm. I don't know for sure, but I think she was also on birth control pills.
Find a good hematologist who specializes in clotting disorders. It may take time. Some tests can't be run while there are active clots or she is on coumadin. When you have active clots they consume clotting factors and coumadin disables some clotting factors. It takes time, but good answers, better that what you can get here, are worth the wait.

Usually it's the mitral valve in the heart that causes clots to be released. Does she have any heart arrythmia, such as atrial fibrillation? Does her EKG strips and 2d echo show up as normal? Do her labs look ok? If all of this is showing up as normal, it stumps me too as much as the doctors. There are many things in the medical field still that we don't know the answer to the cause, we just have to treat the symptoms. Just tell her to stay on the coumadin and keep checking her PT/INR levels on a regular basis, coumadin is a drug that's very hard to regulate.

I would seek a second or third opinion, coumadin is a blood thinner to prevent clots. I would demand to see a vascular specialist, to rule out cholesterol, high blood pressure, birth control issues.

She got the clots while taking coumadin? Or is she taking coumadin because she has blood clots?

Listen to your Doctor. If she took twice the amount it would thin her blood more so no worries about clots but tell her to be very careful not to cut herself as her platelets are compromised and she will not clot easily

I heard drink vinegar , drink grapefruit juice for this.
Her cure is probably in the produce of the grocery store instead of a doctors pill.

well, um, blood clots are formed when red/white ( i dont know wich) git stuck together, and end up stoping flow to arm/leg/brain, ecx. most of the time, its just something minor, and fixable.
