I am 22 and I'm just starting to realize that I have a lot of aquaintences in various social circles (at my school mostly). None of them are friends that I can "hang out" with outside of school. I never have and I can't really see an easy way of doing it since I have never been invited to anything by any of them. I guess that's why they are just aquaintences and not real friends.

you may have to do the inviting. Ask them out to coffee, or over for dinner. give them your phone number, and if they give you thiers, use it (just not too often, that freaks people out too). Sometimes you have to make the first move.

Good luck

I think you should reach out to them, maybe ask someone to join you for a movie. Maybe thow a party and invite all the aquaintences and then next time they have a party they will invite you and before you know it you will be hangin out with them.

Maybe it's YOU, honey. Why can't YOU reach out to others and invite them to lunch or something at your dorm/apartment? You're the one needing a friend so work at it! Maybe make some new ones and start from scratch. You have to be willing to let your guard down and have a personal relationship if you want to have good friends. Godloveya.
