Jennifer -- you open your mouth and out comes ignorance, raw sewage ignorance. Ever think someone might need help with housekeeping because they're recovering from surgery, have multiple sclerosis, getting older and it's difficult to do all the work, losing their eyesight, etc. Need I say more!!! Next time, think before you try for your worthless two points -- think about hurting someones feelings needlessly.

I once worked for Merry Maids, they "groom" the carpet, they do not vacuum. Just run the vacuum over the carpet to make all the nap run in one direction. They also emphasize that the door frame be sprayed with a cinnamon scent, this will mask any other odors in the house. They are not really much on cleaning, just more on making things look good.

I haven't tried them but I think you should go ahead and see what they do on their first visit. Then you can get a good idea about them.
