Read the lease and see if you can take it out of the country, temporarily. Some will say Canada is okay - then you're cool. (All, I suspect, will say that Mexico is not okay).
Does the lease call for you to return it to the dealership you got it from? That could be a real bother if you get reassigned somewhere else (oh, say, Iraq), without going back through TN.
Ask your insurance company for proof of coverage in Canada. They can send or fax you a little certificate showing that you're covered, which, technically, you're supposed to have to enter Canada.
Don't bring handguns into/through Canada, they get really upset about that.
If you come up on the state ferry from Bellingham, Washington, you still have 800 miles to drive from Haines to Anchorage (or 600 to Fairbanks). Including part of Canada.
It is a spectacular drive once you get north of the 48 states, but it is a long haul. I hope your travel orders give you enough time to enjoy it a bit.

Yes, but if you don't choose to purchase the vehicle when the lease is up, you could find yourself in hot water over it, unless you drive it back to the states. I'll bet you this: If you take a long hard look at your lease agreement you will find a clause in it that deals with this issue. You wouldn't be the first person to encounter this issue, and you go by what the lease says. If you have nothing in your lease concerning this issue, then you would be good to go. As with any legal document; read the fine print, and understand the terms in which you are agreeing to. Have Fun!!

As long as you are current on your payments, you can take a leased vehicle to any state in the Union. It would be no different than if you bought the car, and still owed money on it (which is in effect what you did with a lease)
And, off topic, Thank you for your service!!!

only on base. imposing motor vehicle code guidelines off-base will be a contravention of a Federal regulation surpassed in 1878, the Posse Comitatus Act. the only exception will be if the MPs were dispatched through order of the President in accordance to a request through the governor of that state or different functional lawful authority which qualified that interior sight regulation enforcement elements ought to no longer cope with the challenge.
