I think that it is fair for the rich but not for the poor... let's say if you make over $100,000 a year and don't pay you should go to jail.

The people who are put in jail for tax evasion can usually afford to pay the taxes- they just chose not to. Look at Richard Hatch from Survivor, that's where he is now. He won $1million. He can't very well claim that he couldn't afford to pay the taxes on it. So now he's going to be sitting in jail for a while...

I don't think it is fair at all, but usually the only ones who go to prison for it are the ones who blatantly ignore the law, and the IRS proves they could have and should have tried to pay, but tried to hide their money and deliberately didn't pay. You know, tax evasion.

prison is always a last resort, some people are just hard heads. if you make an honest effort to pay they will work with you.

there is so much we can mention that is not fair. Governmental cases and non governmental ones.
It is frustrating, but not half that frustrating than people that just don't care...
You're a good person, encourage others to think too

Two things one must do is pay taxes and die. First you pay the taxes then you die, you even pay taxes to die.
