we can breath in space...just very badly...there is no air to breath outside of the space ship or suit...take off your helmet and the vapor pressure around your head will drop to the point where the blood vessels in your skin will pop. Think "Hickie" but on a huge scale. you might have your head explode but a better bet would be dessication..extreme drying of the tissue. That plus the extreme cold or heat would not make for a good day.

Theres no air in space so therefore you cant breathe. But its a myth that your head would blow off or that you would die straight away in a vacumn. What would happen is the gasses in your blood would start to boil and youd have about 10 to 15 seconds before you died.

Air is made from seventy 8% oxygen 21% nitrogen and a million% different (like pollutants and CO2) we choose the oxygen contained in the air to stay and delivery blood through our bodies. area is a vacuum which skill there is no longer something there no longer something no longer even oxygen, accordingly, we cant breathe in area ;)

Space, in this sense, means nothing. Ok, there may be a few particles of dust, light, some gravity, but no air as we know it.

Cuz space is a vacum, there's no air and no protection from cosmic rays from the sun so half your body would burn up and the other half would freeze to death

no atmosphere and extreme temperatures will make your head freeze up in the shade, and grill in the sun.
No atmosphere means you have no air to breathe.
