ive done both i have real tattoos and was recently at a fair and they had a henna booth with tattoos and i liked one so much i got it done . a good way to find out if u are going to like being tattooed or not is to test it first with henna. although henna doesnt hurt like getting a real one u will at least know if u like it or not before it becomes a permanent part of your body .

i have many permanent tattoos...all very girlie and some are large but very colorful and pretty. all i can tell you is if you go permanent dont just walk in and pick something off the wall...do your homework..see what you really like and talk to your tattoo guy, a lot of times they will draw something up special for you. that way your not walking around with the same fairy or butterfly everyone else has...good luck

i've had tattoos for years and I don't have skin cancer -- I think ska8ing made that up. Henna tattoos are cool also. You just have to remember it's very epensive and painful to get a real tattoo removed. I got a Tweety bird tattoo when I was 19 and drunk. Now I'm 36 and wish I hadn't done it.

I prefer henna tattoos so I can change the design every few weeks. If you have a design that you'd genuinely like to be on your body permanently, why not get the real one?

I regret mine. I have only one, but if I had a chance to do it all over again, I would choose henna.
