Do not wring, but you CAN squeeze out of the water - just don't twist it as you squeeze. Then lay a large bath towel on the floor, put your jumper on the towel (gently reshaping it so it looks like a jumper again), and then roll up the towel (with the jumper in it!) tightly like rolling up a sleeping bag. Now place the rolled towel with your jumper in it in an airing cupboard or on a work surface, and let it dry. It will take a few days, so after day one, unroll the towel, remove the jumper, and re-roll it in a new dry towel. You might need to re-roll it in another dry towel on day two also.

I didn't read everyones answer, so this might be a repeat?!

lay a towel out on flat serfice, lay jumper over that, then put another towel on top of the jumper. Press your hands down on each section to soak up the water (this will take a little time) but the towels will sop up the excess water... then take the jumper and hang it somewhere that isn't in "damp" air.. so maybe not the basement... hang it somewhere that the jumper won't be against a wall, make sure there its an area that the air moves a little... ie: the hall way maybe... open a door to a room in the hall way, and set the hanger hook atop the door jam... hopefully no one knocks it down...

Damn things! The recommended way is to lie it flat, but every time I've done this, it's taken so long to dry that a) I have been unable to get in my bath tub for a week and b) it's ended up going all musty smelling and needing to go back in the washing machine!

I have a few jumpers with these care restrictions, but I have yet to come across one which doesn't tumble dry perfectly fine (on a low heat setting - and check it regularly).

I use a free standing plastic airer that I lay over the bath and lay it flat on that. That way the water has circulating air to dry, the water falls into the bath, but the jumper is supported sufficiently that it wont pull out of shape. Works for my delicate jumpers.

While it is still wet lay it flat on a large towel. Roll the item up in the towel and lean on it to get some of the water out. After that, hang it over a shower curtain rod or similar. It's gonna take awhile to dry.

Lie it flat on the floor. Just before it is thoroughly dry, Pop it in the dryer.....no heat and get the wrinkles out of it. Next time read the care instructions before buying. You will end up hating this jumper because of the care instructions.

Wring Meaning

Most items like this need to be dried flat. After washing, probably hand wash. You put down a big towel and lay your jumper out on it. Try to get it so it is not bunched up. I have several sweaters that I have to dry like this.
Good Luck

Roll the jumper in a large towel. Lay the towel on the floor and walk on it. No wringing, twisting, hanging. Then unroll and lay flat to dry.

Don't iron it while it is still wet, you'll end up stretching and spoiling it. Keep (don't hang it ) it on a garden chair for the water to drip. Then the best thing for you do would be to lay it flat on a thick bedspread or something similar. Keep moving it about on the spread as it soaks up the excess water. Once it is relatively dry you could hang it.
