black people congregating. Even though, There was no real reason for me to think this way; at a subconscious level I always thought they were probably up to no good. Like maybe the government should be watching them a little closer. My question is does any one else ever feel this way?

I don't coz I wasn't raised around lots of black people and just never developed that particular issue. Just some places I would get to be around people who were black, and I never had the feeling you describe. I saw black people as cooler than me when I did know any. So when I see a crowd of black people, although some cultural differences might exist with some of those crowds, I don't become uncomfortable due to their race. I just don't like crowds anyways. Yes, I have been around different types and even had a bad experience, but the good ones outweigh that one bad one.... Just like with ANY race, you'll find there is at least one bad experience, eh?

My dad, however, was raised very differently than I was; he grew up in the fifties and sixties with parents who had many prejudices. He also got his a** beaten by a black guy he talked back to in the Marines. To this day, black means something different to him than it does to me. He becomes uncomfortable. I never heard him say "they" should be "watched" though.

Your feelings sound less like discomfort from whoever taught you and refusal to reach your own conclusions about people, but more like paranoia.

The first step towards racial equality is admitting there is a problem....good for you!
Most people just hide behind a front and try too hard to make others believe they are not racist.
You know...the ones that say crap like "I like all blacks"bull$h1t...no one likes everyone, white black or other.
Being honest with yourself is the only way to solve it.
You have made the right first step...keep making those steps and you will be on your way.

Get your head out of your butt. Do you think black people worry when they see white people congregating? Why didn't you go say hello, I'm sure they are very nice.

Black people are not the cause of your problems. (ADF). You really need to address this issue. That's how racial wars get started. See the movie Crash. You will get so much out of it.

You sound like someone I'd not want to be near. We are ALL human and ALL the same. You need to wake up. Listen to The Roots. Listen to Dead Prez. Read Dr. West's books. Get yourself some help.

I think that you need to realise, that as with most groups of people, there are good and bad. In the case of black people, just listen to Chris Rock ( Bigger and Blacker). I agree with him on this subject.

I think it is natural to be wary of a group of people of another race. I am sure a black person is wary of a group of whites at times especially when they are wearing sheets.
