Oh hell yes, it's our money! It would be nice to have that money go into something like, um say, schools or health and human services, but then again, who cares about the people of the US when you have a war to win, right?

David c - it is clear from your posted questions that you, along with many other people, are upset with the war in Iraq. And you make some very good points. However.......

I, personally, am much more upset with an Ideology that kills thousands of innocent men, women and children in the name of their god. An ideology that demands we convert to Islam - or die.
A minority of demented, religious fanatics who state that you should be beheaded if you choose to even question their beliefs - and, unfortunately, they practice the brutality that they preach.

New strategies and ideas - new responses - new pro-active defense policies - in other words, we don't need more debate about the war in Iraq, we need suggestions and new ideas on how we respond to the very real terrorists' threats.

Cut and run is not an option. We would betray all of the Muslims who have trusted and supported us - and they most certainly would be slaughtered by the radicals immediately upon our departure.
A cut and run policy would embolden the terrorists, strengthen their belief that their terror tactics are successful and inevitably lead to more terrorism and more confrontations in the future.

We need to solve this dilemma for the best possible outcome. We need new ideas, new plans, new thinking - we don't need more criticism and arm chair quarterbacking - that's easy - it's the solutions that are difficult.

not real in any respect. Carter took the economic gadget for a super down turn. The economic gadget isn't Bush's fault. Its everybody who gets credit and only keeps charging. Now, they cant pay it off. So as a result, they cant spend funds. we could have been out and in in under a 300 and sixty 5 days, different than: Liberals only wont enable us to combat the way we would desire to. We dont desire a concern for human existence, we would desire to agonize approximately what they are going to. If we could have fought this like we fought WWII, and only bomb, bomb and bomb some extra, we would not have lots of an enemy left.

I know it is my money. It also increases our deficit. It will take years before we can pay it back.

Yes, we should just mail it to the terrorists instead. Maybe that will appease them.
