This table has a cherry finish on it. A hot dish was placed on a towel on the table and when removed, it left a white spot. After two weeks the white spot is still there. How do I get rid of it without having to refinish the table?

Try toothpaste. Serious. Soft cloth, polish with paste, wipe off

You can rub vaseline over the white spot. Allow it to sit for 24 to 48 hours and it will remove the stain plus polish your wood!!

I use a product from Wal-mart called Liquid Gold. It removes water marks/stains.

dip a cloth in rubbing alcohol and rub the effected area with it. before the alcohol on the table dries, blow it dry with a blow dryer. done. neither the wood nor the finish will be damaged with this method.
