You could find someone that has a nextel phone that contract is finished. Or try ebay and see if they have any phones on there that dont have contracts. Or you can try boostmobile. Which boostmobile is a subcompany of nextel. The phones are prepaid, so they dont have contracts. Hope this helps ya...

For Nextel it's called Boost Mobile. It is the pay as you go service for them. That's the only way you can get a Nextel phone without a contract.

E bay. You can buy any phone and not have a contract. But to get activation you need the service contract. You can get pay as you go, it's called Boost, but it's still like a contract, but you have the option to cancel anytime without the fees.

What you are looking for is a pay as you go phone. You just recharge your minutes monthly or every few months. Some will let you purchase a year card so you only have to refill once a year but it depends on your service.
