Who, according to you, is the ultimate band of the century?

The Rolling Stones.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of them they are the only legends out there who still rockin and rollin'. They've been around since the 60s and are still selling out concerts. Their mixture of rock and blues brought us a genre of music that still influences bands today.

I would have to say that when you talk about this topic, i dont think that you can talk who was the most popular. i think we all can say that record labels, radio stations and magazines tell us we like it, so we just go for it and say thay must be the new sound. So to say any rock and roll hall of fame band is more or less giving into what people tell you is great, and not always what is great. I would say that to me, the ultimate band was either Sublime or is Everclear. They sounded nothing like anyone else, had some success, but never changed who they were. If Sublimes lead singer didnt die they would have been huge in pop music, which is probably good that it didnt play out that way, and everclear has better songs that arent hits, and they still make albums and each are socially relevant with a distinct and incredible sound.

"ultimate band"? 21st century. You didn't specify a genre either. You could be talking big bands. Or did you mean rubber band. I think it's probably a wedding band, also known as a ring. I know it's only rock-n-roll but I like it..........
