I was laid off last November, went to school for the entire summer to retrain. Then I realized I wasn't going to get a decent job anyway at my age and size (huge), so I "retired." It's been two weeks now and I'm about out of my mind with boredom. More time to answer questions, but not better questions to answer.
I'm about ready to end my retirement and start a small business. I'll probably work harder at that then I ever did as a legal secretary, what with all the support staff to do the boring parts of my work there. I'll be doing some, if not most, of the "scut work" in my new bookstore, you may be sure. Probably end up being the one who cleans the bathroom! LOL

I hate working so I started my own business, and worked hard for a few years, now I have other people working for me and doing the day to day grind while I spend my time schmoozing clients at tax deductible events.
not a bad living.

Agreed! I am slacking instead of working. Sometimes I wonder how the world goes 'round and how anything ever gets done with so many of us slacking off on Yahoo Answers all the time!

i hate work, well, i like my job, i just hate the politics that go with it. Im not one for schmoozing people, so i hate that too. Most of all i hate the low pay and the grumpy old lady who sits next to me.
but all in all, im greatful to have a damn job in todays world!
