Make a treasure hunt. If you think the answer will be yes, you can have the final destination be the church. If you aren't sure about the answer, have the final destination be a jewelry store and ask there. Accompany the person on the treasure hunt. Use addresses not business names to keep the suspense. Maybe first go to a restaurant for dinner and have a restaurant gift voucher waiting there with the person's name on it, then go to a show or the park and have a few things hidden and go look for them...then go to the jewelry store. How about...playin that game, you know, where you start of with one clue and from that you have to discover the location of the next clue. Keep goin like that with different clues to the places that have played a special role in your lives together (for example: where you first met, place where you had your first kiss, ect).and then let the final clue be somethin that leads the person back you...and then when they figure out you´re the last clue..take the ring out..and pop the question. Send her four orders of flowers within a short period of time. You need to time this so you know she is going to stay in one place for an hour. The message on the first bouquet just reads "Dear (Her Name).....". The second flower delivery has a single word message, ("...will..."). The third also has a single word message,
("...you..."). And the last delivery you make yourself with a single rose and the little attached message reading, ("...marry me?...) Remember, timing is everything. It is the anticipation that makes this so cute. Think about where you want her to be. Who might be with her that would add to the moment, etc.

Personally I like the idea of saying it with flowers.
Buy a bunch of rose [flower] petals , make a trail for her to follow, have it lead to a picnic by a pond or other pretty park location [gazebos are nice], then have the petals spell out the question.

She will melt at how romantic it is!
