Also the main advantage is that you cannot have a computer without one.

Advantages:
- It reads very fast compared to CD's and DVDs
- Extremely Cheaper ($ per byte) compared to flash drives
- Read & Write (Compared to DVD's and some CDs)

Disadvantages:
- Very fragile (If it falls on the ground)
- Will crash/fail (It is not a question of - will it crash; but - when will it crash)
- Read & Write (Compared to DVD's and some CDs) because information can be deleted
