Flash - flash web interactives and animations.
Director - Shockwave based animations.
Dreamweaver - the most useful web development tool.
DVD Studio - I don't have it, make DVD productions !?
Motion - I don't have it (I have 3D Max instead), 3D animation!?
Aftereffects - Ah adobe shines with a multimedia tool (toy).
Live Type - Animation
Soud Track - Sound engineer suite

Two things spring to mind Macromedia and Adobe, quality!

Flash - animations or animated stuff for websites, you can open illustratorfiles (or import). you can easily make some simple animations, but you can do some heavy programming here too...

Dreamweaver - editingprogram for building websites (you can see code: javascript/css/html OR design like you should do in another designprogram like indesign OR combine both)
You can make a layout in photoshop, save for web and open the htmlfile you get in this program for further editing (more interactivity, adding text, ...)

Illustrator: vectorised drawingprogram

Photoshop: photo-editing

i do not imagine the Adobe website is all that useful. that's designed to promote you stuff, no longer tell. you could seem in any respect of those at Wikipedia and they have good descriptions for all of them. keep in mind even with the actuality that that Adobe offered Macromedia, so that they are Adobe Flash, DreamWeaver, and so on. now, no longer Macromedia.

Go to http://www.google.com/

Type the name of a program you wish to find out more about and hey presto - all the information known to mankind about that particular software!!!

This also works for pretty much anything else in the world.

Google is your friend. Use it.
