Is it really worth taking pregnancy supplements when trying for a baby?

yes it is! those supplements prepare your body in so many ways! if u are lacking something important, then you may not conceive.

Start now so things will be ready when it does happen

Yes! My doctor said it is good to have up to six months of them stored up in my body before we even started trying for a baby....but I didn't start taking them until after we had been trying for 6 months. All of the nutrients, particularly the folic acid, are very important in the early stages of fetus formation.

Like prenatal vitamins?

Yes it is. You'll be pregnant for a few weeks before you realize it, and the baby will be forming the most important parts of its circulatory system and needs all those extra nutrients.

If you are getting all the nutrients you need then no. I have heard that folic acid is important though but that can be found in fortified cereals and breads, dark leafy greens, orange juice, lentils, chickpeas, peas. broccoli etc.

Folic acid helps prevent some birth defects.

Well i planned on taking them but just kept forgetting...
my baby was VERY healthy
BUT obviously it doesnt hurt and i would probably plan to take with the next too

I find it doesn't make much difference. Just make sure to up your intake of folic acid to 400 ug after you found out you have conceived.

YES I believe it is..... to help prepare your body as a home for a baby......you need the folic acid most of all.........and you need the EXTRA vitamins because your making this baby!......
It doesn't hurt to take it.......people take vitamins all the time....
so just do it

you need to be getting your folic acid.. when i was pregnant all my prenatal vitamins made me sick so my doctor told me to take flinstone vitamins 2 twice a day.. i recommend the ones that have the stuff in it that promotes eye and brain development i can't think of what it is called.

Oh, yes! Vitamin B is MUCH more important than sperm in getting pregnant!
