Ok, this is the method my brother and I have used all our life.
Get a toothbrush and wet it. Put as much salt on it that it can hold. Scrub the area of your throat that is infected as hard and as much as you can without actually throwing up. Three times daily. Steam your head often.

Lie down and keep warm, take lots of fluids, wrap your neck with warm scarf or blanket, even around your head. The infection doesn't like heat. also a warm pack around nose or wherever it's worse. The vitamin C is good.Whatever you do never eat banana's with a sore throat, something in it makes it sting like you'd never believe. The rest is important, as the muscles at rest help to get the antibodies going.

Your antibiotics should kick in about 24 to 48 hours after the first dose. Take entire bottle. Taking natural cures for strep is like fighting The Terminator with a potato gun.

Megadose on vitamin C and B, drink warm teas, and watch something like cartoons or your favorite comedy. Play environmental music, if you're way tired and want to nap.

This doesn't sound to good. You need some antibiotics, because garlic alone won't kill the spread.
