Just write the lyrics, a tune will spring to mind, then find a good rhythm guitarist, hum it to him..he will pick the chords..ad lib a bit till you are happy with the sound....easy...go for it..good luck..

I write songs from experience and from the heart. I also write crazy songs. I usually start by playing a tune on my guitar. Sometimes lyrics just come to me so i always carry a note pad.

It depends on the singers!!
Some just come up of it while dreaming
Some make up stories and describe it through their songs
Some just write about something that's just happened
Some sing of their fellings
Some just write about what they see at that very moment
Some sing about how people treat them!!
Writing a song is usually describing something you like, just making it more poetic!!
Unless if you're a rapper!!
You just sing about booties, Nothing poetic about that!!
Just write what's in your heart and It'll find it's own melody/tune!

they used to write them with pens and pencils. now they probably use computers....some may still be old fashioned though

It come to them naturally (if its their talent), they put their thoughts on paper and come up with something sensible/ what they think is sensible.
