Don't you think that it would be better if Yahoo turned Answers into a forum instead?! They could still have different topics but then it would be more fun because then people could chat! Does anyone know any good forums by the way?!

No I can't be doing with forums. There are times when I've wanted to carry on the conversation with questions I've asked but turning it into a place to chat would defeat the object of Yahoo Answers. I like it the way it is, the simpler the better.

I don't really think that because Answers was set up with the specific purpose of answering questions and that's how it's been promoted.
There are lots of good discussion forums out there, while there are less community answer/search sites such as this.

Personally, I'm not looking for dialogue here; that can be found elsewhere in cyberspace. As for suggesting such sites, there are so many that I would need to know what subject you're interested in before I could make a useful recommendation.

no, forums stink. Yahoo just needs to stop policing us like crazy up here and we will be fine.

loads of people have said yahoo has its own chat room already i didn't know that what do you do to get on it? but i love yahoo answers I'm quite house bound (boo hoo hoo) so my daughter Emily taught me how to use the PC and I'm loving this site so hurrah for this site

I think that it will take away from the answering questions functionality.
That is why they have yahoo communities and the such.
