You don't. What makes you so special that you don't have to pay.

Depends how you were caught. If it was a speed camera that gets you from behind i.e. Gatso then you could say you weren't the driver and your car must have been driven by someone else, who you can't remember.

Case going through human rights about having to name drivers as it infringes your right to silence.

If you were caught by a forward facing camera then they probably have your mug shot and, unless you have an identical twin, then no chance.

If you caught by a Police Car (highly unlikely) then they probably have video evidence and then no chance. If no video then you could say that someone else has given your name.

If you were the driver and you were speeding and you give false information to get out of a ticket and you are found out, then you are perverting the course of justice for which the punishment is far greater than 3 points and £60.

Pay up, take the lead from your right boot and be more careful in future.

Unlikely that you can, unless you can prove you weren't speeding. Still, once upon a time judges would be more lenient toward those who appeared in court and reduce the ticket fine, especially if it was a first offense.

I am not sure if judges are still that lenient. And, unless you really believe you were not speeding or had a very good excuse to be over the limit, don't bother. Especially, if you have previous tickets. Judges have heard about every excuse in the universe.

Next time, just don't speed.

You might as well pay the fine now if you don't the fine goes up and up never stops.
Try not to get a ticket in the first place, its a danger to other people.

give them the details of a fake friend but at an address you can access, when their letter arrives say that the fake person has moved on (he was a lodger) and he /her left no forwarding address. The police will have to drop the case!
