Your knees and elbows have allot of extra skin that just collects dirt. When you take a shower or bath just scrub them extensively and they will lighten up to the color of the rest of your skin. It isnt from the sun

You may apply lime juice to your elbows and knees (and all those dark spots on your body) 30 minutes before taking a bath (to allow the juice to take effect) and you may also use papaya soap while taking a bath. It's really helpful! Try also putting 1 tablespoon of baking soda (if you're not allergic to it) on every 8 oz. of water for your rinsing to prevent you from feeling sticky when perspired. When you are doing this, avoid being under the sun so that your efforts won't go to waste.

Use 100% cocoa butter on your knees and elbows and try to get a cocoa butter lotion to put eveywhere else. It helps to keep you body one even tone. Try not to get fancy lotions, they have very little cocoa butter in them. 100% cocoa butter in a tube costs about .99 cents at walgreens or cvs.
