in 2004 i was in amsterdam either in november or december and there was a christmas parade with saint nicolas on a horse touring the streets carnival style. It was most enjoyable and i would like to reurn this year but i do not know the date of this parade!

November 19th this year. Enjoy getting caught in a volley of Pepernoten shrapnel.
EDIT: Ignore the Dec 6th responses. That's the evening of Sinterklaas, the actual celebration. He arrives in the country and has his parade a couple of weeks before.
