a) Studying Tamil is compulsory, Hindi is optional and NOT REQUIRED, French is optional and must be studyed in alliance francaise, not taught in the schools.
b) Studying English is compulsory also, all subjects will be taught in English or Tamil or both
c) Deleting "History" and "Moral Science" subjects : History is all false and made up and is not worth one paisa to know what happened already, if you want to know use your encyclopaedia. The time spent learning History can be spent learning Science and Logic. Morals are defined by yourself as long as you adhere to common law. THere is no need for the school to teach what morals are. Thats what parents and family are for. Also to be removed are some schools conditions that parents must be graduates in order for their children to be admitted. What for? The purpse of education is so that the school can teach the child, the parents may be poor uneducated and live in slums also?

If Tamilnadu says study Tamil in Tamilnadu then it is narrow minded linguistic regionalism. If Maharashtra says study Marathi and Kerala says study Malayalam and Kannadiga people are forcng Kannada on school children when Kannda is not worth one paisa then it is Language protection, linguistic superiority. Whatkind of metaphor is this ostrich with its head in the sand, and a cat that closed its eyes and thinks the world is dark?

It wont be reformed until the Tamil ministers rise above regionalism and see the lights of nationalism and understand that Hindi and English is possibly more important than Tamil, specially in the advanced stages of education in the state.

That was one very details explanation of the truth.. I always keep complaining about the education system in Tamil nadu. As far as what i've learned out of school or college in two years never happend in 15 years of education.. i personally believe that our education system is not helping us to learn to survive instead its only giving us excercise to our memory cells in our brain to get strong.. i mean who cares about the history.. to some extent is good but there are lots of other disgusting events happened and they are not reveling any. To help us think logically is all teaching has to do. Thats what will help us survive. Personally, moral science and history are clearly a waste of time..
There is one more thing.. teachers ask students to remain silent and not to talk even to the partner or friend beside.. then how in the hell he ll learn to speak or socialise.. I find it bull ****.. I'm a victim though i don't wanna reveal the nameof the school. i'msure it is happening in every school. Teachers are still stuck with the same old fashion of teaching. They don't even know to generate interest among the students about the subject.. So its not students mistake but its the lack of commitment of the teacher .. My father is a teacher and i don't know how he teachs.. but i'm a victim if not to my father's way of teaching.
I don't think the system will change any sooner.. may be we should join to complain if our childrens shouldn't be a victime like us. regards

Education in Tamilnadu will not improve at all. It will be worse further in standard so far this Government and ADMK are in power. I have shifted to Bangalore because of these government. If you have idea of putting your children in TN Schools please do not do and ruin their life
