It would be a daily driver but how bad would the rainy season hinder my driving? It doesn't snow much but would it be any worse than a regular car in the rain? I had an 89 which was terrible but it was also more than 15 years old.

Depends on where you are in Oregon really.

If it's the coast with road that get lots of summer vehicle oil, then I wouldn't recommend it.

For Portland/Salem, you're probably more at risk for damage from fender benders than for problems from the rain. But if you like the car and want to drive it - go for it!
