Don't be frightened, its just a noise, it cant hurt you.
If you are scared of getting struck by lightning, don't be. Lightning strikes the highest point, so unless you go out onto a bare hill in copper plate mail, raise your you hand and shout all gods are b*sta*rds, there is nothing to worry about.
Think about it logically. If it is the noise that troubles you, put some music on and listen to it through head phones.
Try and appreciate the beauty and power and sheer raw energy of an electric storm

Hi there please just relax, thunder is not going to harm you,go and put the kettle on and have a cuppa, curl up in bed or on the sofa, and either listen to your TV or put your headphones on and listen to some music,it will soon be over and your cats will be just fine,as mine get scared but they usually curl up on the bed,i bet by the time you read this it will have stopped,if it hasn't it won't belong before it does,it's ok honest

I love thunder and lightening - switch off all electical appicances in the house - take plugs out of sockets, it is attracted to electricity, but most houses if not all have been fitted with lightening condutors - so you will be fine.

It won't touch you.

Take Care

Don't go in any phone boxes... one i need em too get changed... two... check out my last question and give me some advice on what my mrs should do, as she was in a call box that was struck!
On Sunday! Woah... she's a bit deaf in one ear too!

if you are indoors, turn all electrical stuff off also... coz if it strikes near by... insurance don't like acts of god!

Thunder is wonderful, a great deep rumbling noise that reminds me of my grandfather laughing. Plus it is a long way up, and sound can hurt you. It's only a big noise, it might make you jump, but it's only a noise.
