this is going to make me sound like a prude, but does anyone else think there is far too much sex and violence on telly before the 9 pm watershed?
i mean, take hollyoaks last night - there were loud noises of people having - er - enthusiastic sex, and people getting beaten up. and people always getting shot and beaten in eastenders. does anyone else think this is a bit much so early in the evening?

Yes, definitely. There's too much violence and sex unnecessarily on telly nowadays. Too many things are associated with sex --- cars, ice-cream, chocolate, almost anything in TV adverts use sex to sell themselves. It's not just sex that bothers me but also the attitude of the characters in these soaps. They are always so angry, vicious, malicious, and vindative. I would say they really poison the minds of the viewers.

It should be the responsibility of the parent to decide if the programme is suitable for their children and for themselves if the don't like it then turn it off.
