Descriptive Classifications of Intelligence Quotients
IQ - Description - % of Population
130+ - Very superior - 2.2%
120-129 - Superior - 6.7%
110-119 - High average - 16.1%
90-109 - Average - 50%
80-89 - Low average - 16.1%
70-79 - Borderline - 6.7%
Below 70 - Extremely low - 2.2%
IQ stands for intelligence quotient. Supposedly, it is a score that tells one how “bright” a person is compared to other people. The average IQ is by definition 100; scores above 100 indicate a higher than average IQ and scores below 100 indicate a lower that average IQ. Theoretically, scores can range any amount below or above 100, but in practice they do not meaningfully go much below 50 or above 150.
Apparently, the IQ gives a good indication of the occupational group that a person will end up in, though not of course the specific occupation. In their book, Know Your Child’s IQ, Glen Wilson and Diana Grylls outline occupations typical of various IQ levels:

You know, it doesn't make a very good impression, to ask about IQ and then spell the question wrong.
An IQ of 127 ranks at just above average. But don't set too much store by IQ, it's been proven to be wrong most of the time.

It means you re more stupid than everyone with a higher IQ and not so stupid as those with a lower IQ.
Also it s quite stupid to have taken an IQ test in the first place imho... and I m pretty stupid to have commented or to be even on this page but it beats working. I have to talk to the public the whole time an I

An IQ of 127 is pretty darned good. Average is considered to be anywhere between 90 and 120, so you're above average. 140 is genius-level, and 165 or higher is considered super-genius-level.

100 is the average intelligence, so 127 is a very respectable IQ to have. Well done. You could easily reach the top professions with your level of intelligence.

IQ is not a reliable measure of intelligence as it only focuses on certain areas. It takes no account of interpersonal skills such as empathy and ignores true wisdom.
The account of occupation in relation to IQ recounted by "Wim" is without doubt the biggest load of class riddled Bulls%% i have ever seen.
127 is just a number, be wise, refuse to be calibrated.
