I accepted a position a month ago and now I find out the manager was not completely upfront about some of the aspects of the job including working long stretches without a day off. I have a new job offer that I am considering accepting. Should I make a move after only a month in this job?

You are obviously having second thoughts about this job so yea go right ahead and accept the new job. A quality of life is better than just money remember that. You are unsure about this one, and you will regret not accepting the new one later on and wondering how it would of been.

Check out all aspects of both jobs, then pick the one that you'd be most happy with. Leaving your current job only 1 month into it wouldn't be so bad if you're not happy there; leaving now would be the best way to go before you wait even longer and become even more unhappy.

Since you will not be happy in this job because it seems your boss is going to take advantage of you I would first tell him that if he had told you the hours were going to be so long that you would not have taken this job because it causes you to many problems in your personal life and if these long hours are only a temporary thing you can manage but if it is going to be like this always tou may have to rethink your present position .

I think that taking a new job so soon isn't such a good idea. Have you talked with the manager asking if this work schedule is permanent, or due to needing new employees (as yourself)? It is seasonal?

If you don't get a reasonable answer from that, then ask for changed hours...

If that can't be done, then you have to search for something you can work with. THEN, I would search for a job.

good luck

Sure, if your boss is being dishonest. It is not a great move to do a lot, but i think if you do it this once it is ok.
