Germany's equivalent to the BBC is called Deutsche Welle and it offers FREE German language courses that you can download. The link below will take you there. It is not a commercial site like BYKI or Rosetta Stone and will cost you nothing. I have used the courses to teach in colleges.

The "Before You Know It" site has downloads for many different languages FOR FREE!!!!
I'm working on German and Russian right now and it's a really great program.... helps you learn very quickly.
