off to the races again!! Saturday is a somewhat easy 3.1 mile trail race. No significant hills or creeks or obstacles, minor roots. trail is wider than usual, allowing for passing. weather should be in low 60's. My best 5k this year-26:15 on road. Remember I may be turtly, BUT I GOT A LOTTA HEART!!

Sadly to say, you are going to turn in a lackluster time of 44:34, but you will have a good excuse. Just past the 4k mark, you will notice a man kneeling in the woods off the trail. As you jog past, you will recognize soemthing about him, and head over to investigate. Discovering Osama bin Laden attempting to emplace a nuclear bomb, you will surprise him, kick him in the neck with your super runner-turtle-girl legs, knocking him out. You will then disarm the bomb by yanking all the Kryton switches from inside the assembly, so that it will not trigger a nuclear reaction.
I figure this whole catch the most wanted terrorist in the world and defuse a nuclear bomb thing is gonna take you about 16:19, so if you pass on saving the world and just keep on with your race, I am thinking 28:15 is your time without all the dilly-dallying.

Seriously, 28:15. Good luck.

You will trip and fall over a tree root before the 1st mile marker but will pick yourself up and out of pure determination will finish in under 26 minutes before going to the E.R. for 6 stitches resulting from the gash in your knee.

You'll finish in 3 days, 17 hours, 38 minutes and 45 seconds. Actually I don't think that's right, but that's all I got.

I think a 25 is possible because you are running in nice running weather and no major obstacles.

Would you like me to chase you with a big knife? I get my personal trainer to do it quite often, I find it provides the most wonderful motivation to set a new PB
