Some people just like to be in control of what goes on in their own houses.

I come from a Viet background so it becomes traditional that a couple are not to sleep with each other before marriage. But some family like mine has taken a bit easier, learn to adapt to modern society on relationship issues. And its still true that you need to respect your parents and yourself. Sleeping with a guy at your home just makes you more vulnerable and the guy would think your so easy and your family are easy. And that you dont respect your elders. So if you want to sleep together do else where but not in the presence of your parent's eyes.

Probably because you will always be his little girl and he cannot bear to witness the thought of you growing up to the point where you would be intimate with a man in his own home.

my dad was the same for a while - i think dads are fine with it when its not 'under their roof' but its a very protective father-daughter thing because they're not too keen when its in their home, if you see.
he will come round, it took me ages to convince him - funnily enough,i bet your mum is ok with it?

My dad was the same. He doesn't want to think about you possibly having sex in his house. If you're not there, he can pretend it's not happening.
