Well you can submit them directly, and some people will probably tell you that's a good idea, but trust me it's a waste of time.

You're much better off letting the search engines discover your site naturally by following links.

Now of course that raises the point that you need to get links pointing to your site, which is an important part of search engine optimisation (or SEO for short).

Well, Adam is right. But if you really wanted to submit to search engine you can use this website

I use it once to submit and also check on other SEO matter. Quite useful site.

To see whether your site being index, just type your site url e.g

www.yoursitename.com in google or yahoo if it show then it is being nindex. If not you just have to wait.
