Yes, I believe there's something else. I think a lot of things can be explained but there's a small amount that are just odd. Someone recently posted a question about children's imaginary friends - are they imaginary?! I think perhaps not!

I've had a few unexplainable things happen to me. A very nasty experience in Edinburgh Vaults about 12 years ago (I've not been back since) and at my old family home. My 2 sisters and our cat were sitting in the lounge waiting for our dad to come home from a business trip. It was winter so was quite dark. We always locked the house up when we were on our own and we all (even the cat!) heard the front door open and close. We called out to my dad but there was no reply. The door was still locked and bolted, security lights were not on and we were really spooked. It was a calm night, so the wind couldn't have made the noise we all heard. Still can't explain it.

Paranormal? Like sailing in light air watching another sailboat for twenty minutes as it came within 20yrds., 50 miles off the coast, reading the name, waving at the one person on board, turning to adjust the sails due to a sudden increase in wind, turning back to look at the boat and not being able to find it again. Spooky isn't it. Found out later the boat had been lost for eight years. It was a beautiful sailboat that could not have been there.

Yes I definitely believe. I'm from a big family and we all believe in life after death and the paranormal, there are tons of spooky things gone on that I could tell you but it would take all day. Here's a couple.

My Aunt had a plant in her sitting room with little stones in it, quite often you would hear them pinging around the inside of the pot.

My cousin was born a year after my Nanna died, on the same day. When he was little he used to see a lady at the top of the stairs, leaning on the bannister holding her chest. My Nanna used to stop to catch her breath at the top of the stairs.

Here's a scary one, well it creeps me out!
When I was little I used to see a women's head at the bottom of my bed she was horrible, she used to have this cackling laugh that just went on and on. We moved out of this house when I was 10, my parents sold it to friends. We were visiting one day and I overheard my mam's friend telling her that her little girl keeps waking up in the night screaming, saying that there was a women standing at the bottom of her bed. I still get shivers when I think about it, it could just be a coincidence but her bed was in the same place as mine, only my bed was was a cabin bed, so it was higher, which I why I could only see her head.

In an ex's house I was locked in the bathroom and kitchen regularly!
We were having sex and I felt a hand (?) tugging on my ankle.
The lighter I reached for would fly off the table away from me.
But it wasn't scary.
It turned out two small children died in the building in the late 1800's - I figured it was them as the whole thing was quite playful.

The paranormal does exist.A simple explanation as to why so many refuse to believe is that science has not yet been able to quantify and qualify it as of yet.I have been able to see and feel things that others couldn't since puberty. My favorite experience was the day I was goosed by the haunt in a store that I worked at. Everyone else knew of him and were jealous of me. LOL I have never been scared of anything I've encountered really but it can be a little nervewracking when you are the only one experiencing these things.

Yeah I beleive in ghosts.

I see my dead uncle regularly - and he helps me find lost things.

The house I used to live in was full of the energies of other people because it was an old house.

The restaurant i work in even has its own ghost whom I see every few days or so.

In physics one of Newton's laws is that energy cannot be created or destroyed and I think that people generate a lot of energy around them (all those thoughts and just general bodily functions going on) as they go aout their daily business. So if that energy is not destroyed then where does it go? The usual 'oh is dissipates in heat energy' can't be true because otherwise with all the people on this planet we'd be burning up. So I think the energy kind of 'hangs around' and now and then we get glimpses of it. See - one of the 'ghosts' in my old house wasn't even dead - just the guy who used to own it!

I'm sceptical about anything paranormal but I used to work in a care home and experienced some things that were difficult to explain. For example one day the handle of a door was going up and down as if someone was trapped in the room so I went to let them out (not taking my eyes off the door) and the room was empty. I don't know what caused it but even so I would like much harder evidence then that before believing in ghosts, partly because I feel if I did succumb to believing I'd be a paranoid wreck and wouldn't be able to do anything ie bedroom activity without worrying if my dead granny could see!

I had to add to this because I remembered another incident three years ago when I was on hloiday in Cornwall, I was in the pub garden one evening with my 3 year old son and my brother, we were the only people in there and my little boy started pointing at something and was moving his hand as if following something, he said to me "why is that girl crying?" i said "what girl?" he said "she's calling for her mummy, not you, her mummy!" that gave me shivers! I asked what she looked like and he said "she's white". Trust me we got out of there very quickly!! He also was once telling me about a man called Gordon, I asked who Gordon was and he said "my old daddy before my new daddy, but he died. He had whiskers on his face" that scared me aswell, he was only young so I don't know where he could of got this sort of thing from, especially the reference to whiskers because I'd say moustache or beard but I think whiskers is quite an old fashioned term.

Even so I like to remain ignorantly blissfully sceptical because it's too weird/scary to comprehend!
