If that happens, I'm becoming Canadian!

I voted for Mr. Bush and still support many of his policies, but I do not see him trying to amend the 22ND Amendment. I do believe Mr. Bush has the best interests of the country at heart and knows that the country is very divided at this time. So another run would not be in those best interests. Further, Mr. Bush would never get the majorities required to push through a constitutional amendment in Congress, and if he did then state radification of the amendment would become a problem.

If Mr. Bush ran for a third term I do not believe I would vote for him. This is not because I don't agree with his tenure as president, but rather because I believe 8 years is more than long enough for any one man to run the country. When Mr. Roosevelt was elected to his 3rd and 4th terms the situation was vastly different. America was embroiled in World War and the times were tenuous for Americans. I do not believe Americans are facing such a situation today. Even though we are involved in a war and under threat from an enemy the mindset and circumstances are vastly different.

The primary reason I do not support more than 2 terms is because I think change is important to keep country vibrant. If it were up to me all politicians would have term limits at the federal level. It is time to move on. MR. Bush did some great things for this country, and he was right leader on the right day when 911 happened, but it is time to pass the baton. The country needs to heal the political divide and try to come together again as a nation. We cannot even begin to do this until Mr. Bush leaves offfice because of the great hate some have for the man. The next candidate must be a moderate who can cross the aisle, and deal with both sides for the best interests of all Americans.

First of all, George Bush doesn't make the law. He is part of the Executive Branch of Government.

Congress has the ability to create and change laws, that is why they call it the legislative branch.

The Judical Branch, is responsible for interpreting the law to make sure it is constitutional.

I wish people who asked questions on this site understood this process. Its government 101 people.

Even though I support Bush and what he has done, I do not want to see a president in office for more than 8 years.

Yes I do, and I would GUARANTEE he would be elected again. The whole world was against him going into his second election and he won that one. All these libs and dems (same thing i know) were all over TV bashing him and most ppl on yahoo and other websites were hating on him but yet he still was elected. Anyone with intelligence realizes this isnt his fault and that we need to be over there. You dont get attacked and just sit there like nothing happened. You dont let those 2800 ppl who died on 9/11 die without any kind of justice and without any kind of counter attack. Maybe you hate Bush and all that but you should never not support the world, you are spitting on the American soldiers dying for you right now, they deserve more than most ppl give them. Ok end of my rant...

There is no third term in America anymore. Two terms and you're out. He can't change the limit by him self.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. What made America great in the first place is exactly this recognition and the wisdom inbuilt into the constitution!

Your question is moot. There is no way for a president to serve three consecutive terms, and there is no possibility that such a law will be ammended.
