Right now in my area I have cable, DSL or Modem. I chose DSL for the price. Cable is faster, but I just don't like the cable company.

For sure Broadband is the best follow by ADSL.
I am in Laos and Broadband is newly introduced and is VERY expensive. ADSL is also new but much cheaper and i am using ADSL. The price is US600 per year without usage limit!! (can use 24hours a day) The problems are, quite slow when upload or download (trabsfer rate around 15-25 KB/sec! sometime will drop even lower)
If you can afford the price, go for the best - the broadband.

Broadband will be faster, DSL 2nd best & dial-up slowest. I would choose broadband if price is comparable. Also with broadband & dsl, you can use vonage. Vonage is a broadband phone service that is only 24.99 a month. I use it and have saved alot of money!

I think DSL is better. Cable is too expensive and your speed decreases as more people in your area go online. DSL is a lot less expensive as well.

Cable or better yet FIOS if they have it in your area. Fiber Optic Service is up to 50 times as fast as either Cable or DSL, but it's only available in a few areas. Check here to see if you can get it http://www22.verizon.com/content/ConsumerFios

Depends on how many people are hooked up to which one....too many people on either one is going to slow you down. Depends on the company giving it out...Depends on the area or the house/apartment and if there is any interference. Best bet would be to ask someone who already lives there and compare prices...and believe it or not the climatic area is also a consideration.
