It shouldn't feel any different from when you were separated. Did you not go out with anyone else all those 18 years you were separated? I think you should go out and celebrate and wonder why it took so long.

enjoy your freedom. To many times after a long marriage of 18-20 yrs men/woman rush back into relationships and marry to quickly again.

Take your time. Learn to LOVE YOU all over again. Find out what YOU are all about. Enjoy being with YOU and comfortable with YOU.

If you are feeling at odds with your Freeness....then you have to get yourself a hobby, a sport or something to keep you busy. Dwelling on the baggage ...and the could've, should've and reflecting on the what might have beens will get you into an emotional rut!

you probably feel a little at odds at the prospect of going out there in the big wide world as a single man again, you should join some dating agencies and get out there and meet lots of women dont settle back down again to soon but enjoy being a free bird. How many guys at your age would like to be single again i bet a lot more than they care to admit.Im assuming your 40+,believe me you will soon begin to love your new found freedom get on to www.myforeignbride.com you can meet women the world over and your single theres nothing stoping you, live the life you have probably craved for such a long time.good luck and get out there and show the world the new you.

18 years of seperation? Man that is odd. Why wouldn't you just divorce? Surely you relized before now that this relationship was over.

it will be daunting starting out in the "big wide wild world" soyou are bound to feel abit uneasy bout thewhole thing. you havent mentioned how you feel towards your wife, so i take it you are more happy about the split than unhappy. You have been with one person for 18 years, that is my whole lifetime, give it a couple of months and you will feel fine, you will want to get up and go out, do things that you normally wouldnt of been able to do. just find yourself first and ask yourself what you want from now on. then, when your ready to, and you will know whenyour ready, go grab it with both hands.

free, young (your as old as you feel) and single, you gota lot of fun ahead of you mate, TRUST ME.

GOODLUCK **) X

It takes some time to understand all your feelings, when you've been with someone for that long you get use to having that person next to you most of the time, right now you lonely and might feel that way too, maybe there is some confusion what to do next, try to do something you like to do, keep your self busy...

You should feel anyway you want. Just because you are divorced now, doesn't mean that you can't still care for her. You are just not married anymore and you should be happy about that.... Make the best of it....Good Luck

18 YEARS! This illustrates why there is a difference between separation and divorce. Why so long?

The feeling will pass. Take the time to get to know yourself all over again, do things that you want. You have your whole future ahead of you.
