you can log on to www.irctc.co.in .
This web site is fast and reliable.You also have options of i ticket where your ticket will be delivered by courier or E ticket(for some trains)where you can log in an id proof use your credit card and print your ticket online.its great no hassles.ive travel on e ticket mostly.have travlled from chennai to trivandrum and chennai oune.

my dear it is irctc.co.in you have to register yourself first and than you can book ticket maximum 6 ticket per month . and you can see there itself your wl/rac ticket status online .
