There are three aspects for a Personality.

1. What the Person thinks of Himself or His Worth

2. What others think of Him and His Worth and

3. Thirdly the True Worth or jk may say The True Self

The first two aspects influence a lot the way in which the third aspect is presented in this world, but in actual reality think of that proverb that, a chain is only as strong as the strength of the weakest link in that ...

So regarding the True Worth of the people, probably all are very important instruments in Thy Hand playing their own different functions ...

luv and SAI RAM,

Many people think it refers to the contribution that he has made and can make to the world but it really isn't. Some one poor may save lives and assist the poor, may even be a great teacher or any other beneficial thing but in the end the person's worth is really determined by how great the amount of the check he can write. Money talks with the loudest voice. If you don't realize that you have never been poor.

In my opinion the person's worth can be determined by the noble qualities he possess. It cannot be measured by money, intelligence or social. If a person is rich and never help the needy. Likewise a person is intelligent with ego and not sharing his ideas with others. Person may be social and holds respect in the society never involve himself in the charitable activities.
Hence the person who is having noble qualities is worth.

just by being yourself / by merely existing. we are created unique and special. although we may be born with different status (financially/socially/gender wise), those "earthly" categories will not matter. just take a look at our laws, we are all given equal rights, even suspects are not put to the deathrow or convicted unless proven guilty. People may manipulate those laws, but I'm talking bout the law in itself. We were born because thereis something worth living. It tells you more of what he is and how he is as a person and not how we wants to be perceived as a person. So the next time we meet someone, we try looking at that persons innerself because that, i think defines what he is. Its his true self and not merely the image he wants to be perceived by others

the worth of a person
is not variable individually

the worth is a constant,
and applied to all

our individual value
is the sum total
of the group's value

each
is no more
and no less
than the group
that is all humanity

character is variable, however
the judgement of what is moral and ethical
varies by culture, age, experience

our interpretation of another's position
on the ladder of life
is just a way we project
our labels
onto others
--which we do,
to reassure ourselves
on where we stand

I think its integrity, honesty and compassion which stands the test of time.Money is only important while you are alive.Once you are dead, nobody is going to remember you for the money you had. While if you have all the qualities above, like Mother Theresa,Mahatma Gandhi,.....you'll always be remembered. All that and add intelligence, good looks, lots of money, great in bed.Just joking.

Our worth as human beings is something we are born with, it does not depend on any other outside measure. Each of us has the dignity of life. We are ennobled when we recognize that and treat all other people with respect and kindness. We are diminished when we forget it and try to pretend that we are more important than others. The choice is up to each of us, and on that choice hangs the quality of our common life together on this planet.

A person should be Judged solely on their Deeds and Actions!
NOT their Wallet, Intellect or sociability!

There are no objective criteria to measure person's worth. There's six billion people on the planet. Worth what and to whom? As far as the propagation of nature goes, it may be defined as his ability to survive and help other life survive.

A person's worth is defined seperately depending on the group involved.

A person's worth to themselves, is their level of happiness.

A person's worth to a society, is their benifit to that society. Their benifit is determined by the increase or decrease in average happiness that their existance causes within that society.
