how do you be someones friend. And how do you start a converstation that would last a long time?

If you have freinds that have other freinds,make plans for a big group to go out one night and start talking to your freind's freinds.Talk about anything-music,movies,video games,the weather...Throw some trivia out to them like you could say "Hey-did you know cigarettees are called f_a_gs in England?"(which is true).If you see a female you don't know that well in a record store or in a movie line...say something like "Hey-I see you like the Clash" or "Hey-I see you're gonna see the new Tom Hanks movie".Just be yourself and relax.

it's not only about how to start conversation.
but more about, how u manage the conflict between u.
to start conversation, just give ur best smile, n said,... hello... how r u? n then, tell them a little bit about u maybe in 1-2 minutes,... usually they will do the same.

well try to talk with him/her and then find something to ask.ask about hobbies.maybe you would have same interests in something..ask if he/she has an email.or maybe u could ask her/his mobile number in order to invite him for a coffee!!
