Do a search In your search engine type in Broadband and go through the list . But remember the cheapest is not always the best. Think of what you will be using it for and what will give you the best results.

It all depends on what level of service and connection speed you need.
There are "free" dial-up providers like Netzero http://account.netzero.net/s/landing?action=viewProduct&productId=free&group=iso-standard-plus-commitment or Juno http://account.juno.com/s/landing?action=viewProduct&productId=free&cf=wwwjn they display ads in a section of the screen in exchange for free net service, but the speeds are reeeally slow and sometimes undependable. It can be OK just for Email if you don't get alot or don't want to check it often or quickly.
Next step up are the local Dial-up companys which have better (but still slow) service for $10 to $20 a month. And don't listen to their hype about "Web Accelerators", it's a scam unless you always go to the same sites. When you go to a site it just caches it on your computer and the next time you go back it's quicker because it only downloads the things that have changed since the last time you were there, but if you visit a new site or try to download something it's no faster than any other dial-up provider.
Then there's DSL which is pretty quick for around $24 to $40, and cable (which is very fast) for around $50. And some towns are lucky enough to have FIOS, Fiber Optic......something. And that is stratospherically fast (up to 20 times as fast as Cable!) It's a Verizon service and is sold on a tiered rate plan;
Up to 5 Mbps down/2 Mbps up -$34.95
Up to 15 Mbps/2 Mbps -$44.95
Up to 30 Mbps/5 Mbps -$179.95
but I think you have to have Verizon phone service to get it. Info here http://www22.verizon.com/content/consumerfios/packages+and+prices/packages+and+prices.htm
