As a general rule of thumb - a baby should consume in ozs 2-3 times their weight in lbs. Therefore, a 10lb baby should consume 20-30ozs per day. Obviously, the fact that they're on solids as well - they'll want less. 600mls as a minimum according to the books - but baby probably hasn't read the book - so as long as they're happy and gaining weight - it should be fine. My son isn't much of a milk drinker. He's just short of 15lbs and only has about 28ozs per day. I'm counting down the weeks until we introduce solids to see if he has a preference for this (he's only 18weeks - so we're waiting a wee while longer before introducing solids)

there is NO set amount. it depends on what SHE wants..not what you want to give her.

feed her when she is hungry, that's it.

i tried to be VERY specific with my first. by my third....it was just when ever she is hungry. mine eats about every 3 hours...and is 7 months. old and has 4 oz, she gets two bottles then baby food and juice, then two more bottles then more baby food and juice, then cereal before bed.
but every baby is different. my nephew is 5 months old eats every 2 hrs..and has at least 6 or 7 oz and gets cereal in the morning and then at night.

i don't think there is too much or too little, she will eat till she is full and that's about it.

My child is fixing to be 6 months she has about 6-7 bottles a day with a tbl spoon of rice cereal in them then also 2 juice bottles, and eats twice a day. It really depends on the child. Don't worry unless there is something wrong (which u would know) she'll let u know

Without eating any solids, the basic rule for formula amounts is 2.5 - 2.7 ounces per pound of body weight.

So if your baby weighs 10 lbs, she should consume about 25 or 27 oz of formula in a 24-hour period.

Once you start adding solids to her diet, her daily intake of formula milk should gradually decrease to about 24oz.

i'm a mom of a 10 week previous boy and that i've got been doing greater study than you are able to think of! ok... you are going to be feeding approximately 2 -2 one million/2 oz.. of formulation for one and all pound of toddler's bodyweight in a 24 hour era. **occasion: 10 lb. toddler = 20 - 22 oz.. of formulation in 24 hours. i'm hoping this helps.**

when my daughter was 5 month old she was taking 180-200ml per feed around 8 times a day.... she was on breastmilk till 6 months old so think she would get hungry earlier. If you have already started giving her cereal etc maybe the amount can cut down by a quarter....

Seriously, I would call your pediatrician for this question b/c it's very dependant on the child -- height/weight etc. I went to my pediatrician yesterday with a very similar question and with my finding from the web, and she said what I read online (from good sources of course) was way out of whack b/c it's too generalized. So if I were you, I'd simply ask the dr.

My sons pediatrician told me that a baby shouldnt exceed 36 oz. in 24 hrs. 32 oz is ideal but it depends on your baby.
