WHEN I ASK AROUND I GET THE DO YOU LIKE YOUR JOB LOOK FROM MANAGEMENT ANY IDEAS?

I have never heard of a company owned union - it sounds like oxymoron. Maybe you ought to contact the http://www.aflcio.org/ and see what they think.

I would say a union owned by the company sort of defeats the purpose of having a collective bargaining unit. If you do belong to a union, you have every right to know who is your shop steward. Keep asking questions! Sooner or later you'll find someone that can give you the answer. Something sounds fishy here.

Don't ask management for help with your union. There is a rep somewhere. If no-one at work helps find out by calling the union itself.

Company can`t own a union. Most union leaders surreptuously get into league with employers for cash or fringe benefits. Such leaders flout union rules. Make sure they conduct periodical elections or ask for elections.

unions are not owned, it is a collective bargaining membership organization ... the members own it. any steward who belongs to the same union local can represent you for any issues you have
