A man who can forgive. When he came to power, instead of saying: "Now the black man has power, and will get revenge!" he insisted that all should be forgiven (of course the true criminals where punished by the Truth and Reconciliation commission, much like Nuremberg to the Nazi's) But all white people weren't labeled and punished.
It takes a great man to see such oppression, and be imprisoned himself, for fighting for freedom, and then when he has his chance, to forgive!

Nelson Mandela supposed to creat an army and exterminate all his former enemies. We are living in the 21 century, the damage they have done to him will never heal. It is permanent damage to South Africa and its black youth. Mandela was stupid to forgive a permanent scar on his people and country. Same thing goes to Martin Luther King.

It is OK to forgive, but you can't forgive something that has been done against you that effect you even today as we speak.

" One person`s terrorist is another person`s freedom fighter" When Nelson Mandela led the armed militia section of the ANC he was regarded as a terrorist. History now depicts him as a saint. I`m sitting on he fence on his one.

A truly great, great man. To spend so long in prison, and then come out and talk peace, is incredible. However SA is not going to amount to much the way it is going with the crime and corruption. Cry the beloved country.
