Hi All,

I ask a similar question before, but now I need more detail.

I need to send out some small souvenir in a small container (40mm diameter) with seed inside. The idea is to send this out so the seed will actually grow eventually.

Here the tricky part, what kinda of seeds grow well in such condition?

Environment:
- 40mm diameter test tube
- Limited or no sunlight
- Indoor aircon environment

I was told Marigold. Will do the job, what u guys think? Any specific soil to recommand also?

What about bean sprouts, alfafa, radish and so on, to be grown as sprouts for their lunch? Sprouting seeds are available at a health food store. No soil involved.
Otherwise, I would try a bean...... and use a couple of cotton balls.. again, no soil. The bean will sprout and grow - guaranteed!
Cotton ball in first then bean, then cotton ball. Just add water and wait :0)
